Historic Launch: On January 27, 2025, Sree Selva Vinayagar Temple in Klang, Selangor officially introduced Malaysia’s first fully digitalized temple management system.
Inauguration: The initiative was inaugurated by Batu MP and MITRA leader YB Prabhakaran, who hailed the digital shift as an exciting, progressive move toward modernization
Automation & Transparency: The system automates reporting and calculations, reducing risks associated with cash handling and manual errors enhancing accountability.
Kiosk & Vending Features: A multi-functional  kiosk machine is installed in the temple, enabling devotees to book services such as archanai and access information on government initiatives, grants, and programmes relevant to the Indian community. Adjacent to this is a vending machine for items like ghee lamps.
Inclusivity: The technology is designed to be user-friendly; even older generations adapt to the kiosks with ease 
Scalable Model: YB Prabhakaran expressed that the system sets a positive precedent there’s government support to extend similar digitalization to other temples, and several have already shown interest.
Community Engagement: This initiative not only upgrades temple management but also deepens ties with the wider community, offering convenient and transparent services
